What is The List?
The List was founded in 1985 as a magazine providing authoritative and independent coverage of the wide range of arts, events and entertainment happening throughout Scotland’s central belt. The magazine maintains these aims and is published every four weeks, but has been joined by an award-winning website which carries event and venues listings for the whole UK, as well as the usual distinctive, informed editorial content.
The List aims to become the leading source of events and venues data in the UK, and to this end was heavily involved in the production of the International Venue and Event Standard. Other publishing activities, both online and in print, cover the eating and drinking sector, Scotland’s festivals, students and dedicated city guides.
What is The List interested in?
The List is always interested in the best, most reliable and up-to-date events and venues data! More specifically, we are particularly keen to explore approaches to combining different sources of data in one standardised system, as well as mechanisms for encouraging users to enhance and update data.
