Oli Wood Awarded First #chs11 Travel Bursary
Amongst all the announcements of the Culture Hack Scotland over the last week or so, you may have noticed that we are awarding three travel bursaries for developers and designers who are passionate about attending our event but are otherwise unable to do so.
So we’re delighted to announce that the first to receive an award is Oli Wood aka @coldclimate AKA The Approachable Geek. Oli is based in Newcastle and on hearing the news said:
I can’t wait to go to my first tech event over the border because despite only being a couple of hours away, I’ve never ventured North. As the founder of a new business (weddingtales.co.uk) things are always a bit tight, so the chance to get my costs covered (or nearly so) makes things like Culture Hack Scotland possible.
So do you want to join Oli? If so, are are two more bursaries of £100 available for developers and designers passionate bout the intersection of culture and digital. Check out culturehackscotland.com/travel-bursaries and apply by the end of the week to be in with a chance.
